Promotion



In 2001, Reed Smith had six minority partners firm-wide.  Today, we have more than six times that amount.  It is clear that this growth is in large part due to the successful recruitment of strong minority laterals at the partner and associate levels, as well as the retention and elevation of home-grown minority associates.  Of those associates and/or counsel promoted to partner effective January 1, 2008, 19% were minorities and more than 47% were female.
